Optomap Retinal Scanner
Cirrus 600 OCT
The Cirrus 600 Ocular Coherence Tomographer (or OCT) is a state-of-the-art device that scans your retina and produces high resolution images of your retina without the use of radiation. The test takes just minutes to perform and the process is as simple as having your picture taken.
These high resolution images allow your doctor to detect and monitor glaucoma changes in your optic nerve, optic nerve swelling (papilledema), buried optic nerve head drusen, and optic neuritis, a common problem for people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
The OCT is also invaluable in detecting microscopic changes to your macula that can lead to permanent vision loss, including macular holes, macular pucker, preretinal membranes, macular degeneration, central serous retinopathy, and macular edema. Your doctor may also use these scans to monitor the effects of diabetic retinopathy.
Visual Field Testing
The Pachette pachymeter measures your central corneal thickness to determine intraocular pressure, the fluid pressure inside the eye, and is used to determine if you are a potential candidate for LASIK surgery. The test is as simple and comfortable as your routine glaucoma pressure check.
